父

底冷えする寒さの明け方。

朝四時、父の部屋から聞こえる携帯電話の振動で目が覚める。

顔を洗い、歯を力任せに磨き、櫛で擦りつけるように髪を整えて、父は真っ暗やみの中を仕事に出かける。

朝五時。

辺りは静まり返っている。

勤勉な父だ。

下働きで社会の底辺を支えている。

社会とは、一番偉い人ほど底辺にならなくてはならない。

 

家では融通が効かず頑固者の父。

それが不幸をたくさん招いたものだ。

 

今日も父は下働きに行く。
