装飾して真実に迫る

飾らない、ありのままの自分というものは本来誰でも素朴なものである。

それは、気取らなく、無骨でカッコ悪いものかもしれない。

人は、それを着飾り、脚色して、自分以上の存在に見せようとする。

そこには偽りがある。

 

芸術はフィクションであっても、真実を見せなくてはならない。

色や形を自分の思う通りに構成して、自分の真実を訴えるのである。

それは、着飾り、脚色することかもしれない。

しかし偽りであってはならない。

作品をそのように装飾していくことで、ますます自分の真実に肉迫していくものでなくてはならないのだ。

Decorate and approach the truth

 

 

Not embellished, as it is, oneself is basically naive.

It may be unpretentious, silly and uncool.

People dress it up, try to show it to be more than their own.

There is falsehood there.

 

Even if art is fiction, it must show the truth.

Compose colors and shapes as you see them and tell your truth.

It may be dressed up and adapted.

But it must not be false.

By decorating the work in such a way, it must be more and more imminent to your own truth.
