ありきたりのものをありきたりに描くのもいい。

当たり前のものを当たり前に描くのもいい。

 

でもそれはただの練習であって、私に言わせれば作品ではない。

練習するなら普通のものを普通に、何枚でも描けば良い。

それは作品に行き着く前の段階である。

 

芸術をやるなら、当たり前のことをしていたらダメだ。

それの一体何が面白いのか。

あっと言わせることに芸術の驚きがあるのだ。

普通はやらない突拍子もないことをやってみる事に、芸術的な価値が生まれるのである。

 

普通じゃない事を究極まで洗練させて、自分の形を生み出す。

それが芸術というものだ。

It is also good to draw ordinary things as usual.

It is also good to draw something obvious.

 

But it's just a practice, not a work in my opinion.

If you practice, you can draw as many ordinary things as you like.

It is a stage before arriving at the work.

 

If you do art, you shouldn't do the obvious.

What's interesting about it?

There is a surprise in the art that makes you wonder.

Artistic value comes from doing things that you don't normally do.

 

Refine unusual things to the ultimate and create their own shapes.

 

That is art.
