忍耐をするなら、楽しいことのために忍耐しなくてはいけない。

悲しいことのために忍耐しないという事だ。

行く先に希望があって、そのために今を耐え忍ぶのなら良い。

前向きな目的のために、今節約したり、今節制したりするのが、美德なのである。
