私は普通の才能しか持っていないので、数をこなして努力するしかなかったのである。

 

何をやろうと、中途半端じゃダメだ。

とことんやり尽くさなくては、やった気がしない。

やってやってやりまくって、それでも成果は一割程度だ。

 

物事の成果とは、ポラロイドフィルムで写真を10枚必死に撮って、1枚だけ成功するようなものだ。

私は、10回に9回は失敗している。

 

それは、あらゆることについて言える。

一割の成果に全てを集中させるために、他のあらゆるエネルギーを使うという事だ。

それくらい本気でバットを空振りし、一割のホームランを生み出すわけである。

No matter what I do, I can't stop halfway.

I don't feel like I have to do it thoroughly.

I do it all the time, but the result is still about 10%.

 

The result of things is like taking ten pictures desperately on Polaroid film and only one success.

I have failed nine out of ten times.

That's the foundation of one success.

I only had ordinary talents, so I had to work hard at the numbers.

 

That is true for everything.

Use all other energy to concentrate everything on 10% of the results.

 

I swing the bat so seriously and produce 10% of home runs.
