「有名になること」

有名になることに憧れる人はいるが、それは人気が出るだけではない。

人気が出るのと同じくらい、不人気が出る。

賞賛もあれば、同じくらいかそれ以上に批判が付いて回る。

いや、賞賛など微々たるものだ。

中には、殺してやると思ってる奴まで出てくる次第だ。

口で批判されるばかりでなく、目でも批判されるようになる。

有名になってくると、ただ存在するだけでこちらを睨みつける人間がたくさん出てくるのだ。

ご近所でも知らない土地でも、目を細めてこちらを見てくるようになる。

羨む目で見られたり。

軽蔑の眼差しを向けられたり。

とにかくここにいるというだけで、煙たい目を投げかけてこられるようになる。

どんなに日々、人間の前向きな姿勢を説いても、愛を説いても、それは関係ない。

1人の人間として普通に生活していることすら、批判されるようになる。

そういう批判に耐えられるか。

それが有名になれるかの指標なのである。
