やりたいこと、興味のあること、面白いこと。

どんな関心事であれ、何事も門戸は広く開かれている。

しかし古今東西、極められるのはごく一部の人間だけである。

毎日毎日、同じことをストイックに修練し続けられるかどうか。

その狭さにかかっているからだ。

 

きつくて、難しい事は、誰でも嫌である。

好きなことも続けていれば、やがて必ずそうなる。

そうなった時でも辞めないでいられるか。

極めるとは、そこの一点にかかっているのである。

 

狭い戸口から入りなさい。

と聖書ではいう。

まさにそれはそのことなのだ。

狭い戸口とは、苦しさを伴う入り口の事だ。

そこから入らなくては、天の国には行けない。

そう言っているのである。

 

それは、この世における物事の習熟に対しても同じである。

極めたければ、常日頃の苦しみを踏ん張れ。

苦しい時が、まさに狭い入り口に向かい合っている時なのだ。

そこを日常的にクリアーすると、必ず極められる。

高い技術も心の財産も必ず手に入るのである。

 

苦痛を伴う「狭い戸口」を常に相手にしよう。
