「自動車教習所初日」
長坂自動車教習所に着いた。
さあ、自動車免許取得だ！
教習所は意外と小さくこじんまりとしていたが、南アルプスと甲斐駒ヶ岳を前方に見晴らせる素晴らしい場所だった。
着くと昼食を食べただけで、行き着く暇なく、怒濤の教習が始まった。
まずは適性検査。
そして学科講義。
そしてドライブシュミレーターをやって、最後に初試乗だ。
いきなり４時間も授業をし、くたくたに疲れてしまった。
車を初めて運転した。
42年間生きてきて初めてのことで、ハンドルを握る手に力が入り、うまく曲がれない。
初めはみんなそうだと、教官が隣で励ましてくれる。
９時５０分・１０時１０分のポジションにハンドルを握るも、回すときに安定しない。
細かく回したと思えば、そのポジションから外れるし、お腹が邪魔でハンドルを片手で回すと苦しいのだ。
そして、運転席に乗った体が思ったよりも動かない。
足をブレーキに動かしたり、アクセルに動かしたりするだけで、かなりきつい。
これは車に乗る以前に、運動不足だなあとつくづく感じるのであった。
私は頭を使うことならいくらでもへっちゃらだが、体が錆びてきている。
ますは運転の前に運動をして、なんとか挽回しないとな！
まあ、運転試験場の外周を何回も回っているうちに、わずかに運転のコツをもう掴んだわけだが、ペダルを踏む足がスムーズにいかない。
関節が硬くなっているのを痛切する初日であった。
"Driving school first day"
I arrived at Nagasaka Driving School.

The driving school was surprisingly small and small, but it was a wonderful place to look forward to the Southern Alps and Mt. Kaikoma.
When I arrived, I just ate lunch, and I didn't have time to get there, so intense training began.
First of all, aptitude test.
And the department lecture.
Then I did a drive simulator and finally the first test drive.
Suddenly I had four hours of lessons and was tired of exhaustion.
I drove a car for the first time.
It's the first time I've lived for 42 years, and I can't bend well because my hand holding the steering wheel gets stronger.
At first, the instructor encourages me next to me, saying so.
I hold the steering wheel at 9:50 and 10:10, but it is not stable when I turn it.
If I think I turned it fine, I would be out of that position, and it would be painful to turn the steering wheel with one hand because my stomach was in the way.
And the body in the driver's seat doesn't move as much as I expected.
I just move my foot to the brakes and the accelerator and it's pretty tight.
Before I got in the car, I felt that I was lacking in exercise.
I'm fine with using my head, but my body is rusting.
I have to exercise before driving and manage to recover!
Well, while I was going around the outer circumference of the driving test site many times, I already got a little knack for driving, but the foot that pedals does not go smoothly.
It was the first day when my joints were stiff.
